Internet is global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite to serve billions of users worldwide. Nowadays, Internet become the most favorite technology in the world, because their feature that can make interaction each other and exchange information to share with another. The history of internet begin when Department United states established a computer network called ARPANET or Advance research Project Agency made. Through a project of ARPANET, the Department demonstrate their computer hardware and software that can perform UNIX based communication in the infinite distance through telephone lines. Unix is a operating system like a core of your brain, they can handle input or output information or control the system as the function. In 1972, internet released and introduced to all people in the world to start new generation of technology. After that, ARPANET network change name to Internet protocol. But, most of people usually called internet. The reason why people use internet from children to adult are the feature of facility in them. The facility can improve our knowledge to better with a new information everyday. Internet have benefit in communication and information.

Communication is the most important way to have ideal life. In internet, there are some facility like email, messenger and etc to make people communicate or have relation with another people who use it in other part of world. before internet release, it is so difficult to know condition and what happen in another part of place. Only a letter that can help  us to keep our communication with family or friends. We do not know wealth of culture, art and characteric without relation with another country. But now, it has become very easy to establish a kind of global friendship where you can share your thoughts, explore other cultures of different ethnicity and characteristic. For instance, The cultures of japan that drink a tea in ceremony and kimono wear.

 Information is probably the biggest advantage of internet. Internet like virtual treasure trove of information. Any kind of information on any topic under the sun is available on the Internet. The search engines like Google, yahoo is at your service on the Internet. You can almost find any type of data on almost any kind of subject that you are looking for. There is a huge amount of information available on the internet for just about every subject known to man, ranging from government law and services, trade fairs and conferences, market information and new ideas. You can imagine if every information so hard to get? Maybe student and worker difficult to develop their ability and stuck in flat of things. In era colonialism, not all people can go to school unless they are come from rich family or descent of blue blood.  We know that in the school, lesson can give a new information about life and how to solve any kind of problem. Therefore information can change our point of view and raise our brain.

To conclude, Internet is a modern technology that can help all people to find a new information and relation in communication. No matter how difficult to follow the process of life, people like have opportunity to better with feature of internet. A few years ago it was rather difficult to image that it would be possible to communicate with people from all around the world. But now, that problem solve since internet come.

Saya                       : Assalamulaikum Wr.Wb

Narasumber       : Waalaikumsalam Wr.Wb

Saya                       : Sebelumnya saya berterima kasih kepada mas miftah atas kesediannya nya dan mengganggu waktunya dalam wawancara yg saya berikan ini.

Narasumber       : Oh.. iyaa sama sama de, dengan senang hati. Saya juga lagi santai tidak ada pekerjaan dan sedang beristirahat sejenak.

Saya                       : oke deh mas ,hhe. Saya disini ingin mewawancarai mas miftah tentang pengalaman perantauan dulu hingga saat ini. Oleh karena itu, boleh kah saya tau dimana mas miftah berasal?

Narasumber       : saya dulu tinggal bersama orang tua saya di kampung. Tepat nya saya berasal dari Magelang.

Saya                       : wah jauh juga yah.. alasan apa yang membuat mas miftah dan keluarga untuk merantau dari magelang?

Narasumber       : Saya ikut kedua orang tua saya.. dan keluarga lain yang ingin mengadu nasib di daerah lain.

Saya                       : Sejak kapan mas miftah merantau?

Narasumber       : Saya merantau bersama keluarga saya sejak tahun 1996.

Saya                       : kalo boleh tau, mengapa mas dan keluarga memilih kota depok sebagai kota persinggahan?adakah tempat lain sebelum bersinggah sebelum saat ini?

Narasumber       : Mungkin karena dulu depok kota yang sejuk dan nyaman menurut keluarga saya, dan mengikuti leluhur kami yang juga bertempat tinggal disini, oh… tidak ada.

Saya                       : Pekerjaan atau usaha apa yang pertama kali keluarga kelola saat merantau?

Narasumber       : Usaha membuka Ruko dan Rental computer untuk jasa pengetikan.

Saya                       : Apa alasan yang membuat keluarga anda membuka usaha tersebut?

Narasumber       : Mungkin karena dulu masih sedikit jasa-jasa dibidang tersebut dan disisi lain bila dilihat peluang nya lumayan meyakin kan karena tidak semua orang mempunyai computer dan ahli menggunakan nya

Saya                       : Selanjutnya, Apa pekerjaan mas jalani sampai sekarang?

Narasumber       : Hanya mengelola wanet dan membuka jasa Reparasi (peralatan)computer.

Saya                       : adakah keluh kesah dalam mengelola usaha tersebut?

Narasumber       : ada, saat hanya terus menuggu pelanggan yang tidak menentu. namun setiap pekerjaan jika dilakukan dengan kesabaran dan keseriusan pasti membuahkan keberhasilan.

Saya                       : adakah peristiwa yang mengesankan atau paling mengingatkan mas dalam masa perantauan?

Narasumber       : ada, pada saat peristiwa pada tahun 1998 bulan Mei.

Saya                       : Apa yang terjadi dalam peristiwa tersebut?

Narasumber       : Dalam peristiwa tersebut terjadi pembakaran dimana mana, termasuk tempat usaha saya waktu itu, namun masih beruntunglah saat itu seluruh barang bias diselamatkan.

Saya                       : Tindakan apa yang dilakukan mas dan keluarga dalam pemulihan setelah peristiwa tersebut?

Narasumber       : jalan satu satu nya ya hanya memulai dari awal kembali dan memilih tempat yang lebih aman dan baik, namun setelah peristiwa itu banyak pengalaman keluarga saya hingga membuahkan hasil seperti ini.

Saya                       : Dari kesimpulan semua pengalaman perantauan mas dan keluarga, apa pendapat dan kesan kesan yang dapat disampaikan tentang perantauan hidup?

Narasumber       : Menurut saya banyak hal dapat di petik dari pengalaman hidup, salah satunya bisa membentuk kemandirian yang baik. Kesan kesan dalam perantauan, kita dapat mengetahui keragaman suku dan masyarakat lain, seperti kita sebagai manusia yang harus memetik sesuatu yang baru disetiap hari nya.

Saya                       : wah kalo begitu mungkin saya dikemudian hari harus mencoba nya, seperti nya menarik.

Narasumber       : ya, alangkah baiknya jika bisa menambah pengamalan hidupmu.

Malaysia Rebut Juara Umum WCG Asia 2011

 

Meski didukung penuh oleh puluhan pengunjung yang hadir di Epicentrum Walk, Jakarta, satu-satunya wakil Indonesia yang berhasil lolos ke babak final Tim VelocyHyper gagal meraih gelar juara. Di final DoTA, VelocyHyper harus mengakui ketangguhan Tim asal Malaysia MUFC dalam pertarungan yang menegangkan.
 Sebelumnya, Indonesia yang diwakili Darmawan juga berpeluang memperoleh medali dalam Game Tekken 6. Darmawan yang tampil gemilang di penyisihan grup dengan mengalahkan Wakil Jepang (Runner-up dunia), gagal menghadang Wakil asal Korea yang juga merupakan Juara Dunia Teken 6. Dalam perebutan juara 3, Darmawan juga harus mengakui ketangguhan Wakil asal Malaysia yang mengandalkan Karakter Eddy sejak awal berlangsungnya kompetisi Teken 6.

Keberhasilan MUFC sekaligus menyempurnakan penampilan mereka di WCG Asian Championship 2011, setelah sebelumnya berhasil meraih gelar juara DoTA 2. Negara Malaysia sukses menjadi Juara Umum dengan perolehan 2 medali emas dan 1 perunggu (Tekken 6). Indonesia sendiri berada di peringkat 6 dari 14 negara peserta WCG Asian Championship 2011 yang berlangsung tanggal 9 – 13 2011 di Epicentrum Walk. Sedangkan Chinesse Taipei sukses merebut satu medali emas dalam game Asphalt 6 setelah lolos dari kepungan wakil Singapore yang harus puas menjadi juara kedua dan ketiga.

Sedangkan untuk kompetisi nasional Counter-Strike yang diiukuti oleh 42 tim, XCN ID yang dimotori Ferdy keluar sebagai juara setelah di babak final mengalahkan musuh bebuyutannya Tim NXL dalam pertarungan 3 map yang sangat sengit. Dengan hasil ini, Tim XCN ID akan mewakili Indonesia dalam Grand Final WCG 2011, yang akan berlangsung di Busan, Korea Selatan. Satu tim lagi yang akan menjadi wakil Indonesia di Busan adalah Tim NxG_iRocks yang berhasil menjadi juara kompetisi Cross Fire.

Linux And Window

 

Computer has become one factor that could influence the growth of technology around the world. The ability to program and fast progress, is the reason people consider to use and develop it. In Computer, there is software as a device to operate the application and programs. While the software work on, software need Operating systems to operate as the main function. Operating system is the core of a computer system. The Operating systems can handle disk input or output settings and used to run particular programs during startup such as Linux and Windows. Linux was operating system assembled under the model of free and open source software development that have basic command line. Linux was invented by Linus Torvalds in 1991 and developed device drivers and hard-drive on Unix compatible that launched in 1983 by Richard Stallman. To make competition, another enterprise made new Operating systems like Windows. Windows was Operating systems made by Microsoft that is a partnership between Bill and Allen Hire Gates in June 1980. Then, IBM and Microsoft make a project code-named "Chess”. In response, Microsoft focused on a new operating system and they made MS-DOS as first Operating systems invented by Microsoft. In 1985, Microsoft announced to change the name of MS-DOS to Windows. Different vendor and history makes people tend to choose the operating systems. Usually students, teachers and adults use  Windows. On the other hand, if they have basic of computer, maybe they will Use Linux as operating systems, because they want to feel the challenge to use it. There are differences between Linux and windows in the access, command line and license.     

Having access to the source code from the vendor is probably the single most significant difference between Linux and Windows. The fact that Linux belongs to the Public License ensures that users can access the code to the every kernel that serves as the foundation of the Linux operating system. Kernel is the core of operating systems, that so difficult to get it if want to peer at the Windows code. Unless you are a member of an elite group, you will never lay eyes on code making up the Windows operating system. You can look at this from both sides of the fence. Some say giving the public access to the code opens the operating system to malicious developers who will take advantage of any weakness they find. Others say that having full access to the code helps bring about faster improvements and bug fixes to keep those malicious developers from being able to bring the system down.

No matter how far the Linux operating system has come and how amazing the desktop environment becomes, the command line will always be an invaluable tool for administration purposes. Command line is a command to interaction or instruction with computer. Can you imagine administering a Linux machine without the command line? But for the student, teachers and adults it does not influence so much. Because they just use the software application like office and game .You could use a Linux machine for years and never touch the command line. You can still use the command line with Windows, but not nearly to the extent as with Linux. And Microsoft tends to hide the command prompt from users. Without going click start to Run and entering cmd purpose to open the command line. Windows provide the shortcut as the same function like command line . When you first use a computer, Windows is simple to understand. You can click the application one by one and operate it what do you want. Because of that windows so user friendly for beginner.

Along with access comes the difference in the licenses. I’m sure that every IT professional could go on and on about licensing of PC software. But let’s just look at the key aspect of the licenses without getting into legalese vendor. With a Linux licensed operating system, you are free to modify software and use and even republish or sell it. Also, with the Linux license, you can download a single copy of a Linux distribution or application and install it on as many machines as you like. With the Microsoft license, you can do none of the above. You are bound to the number of licenses you purchase, so if you purchase 5 licenses, you can legally install that operating system or application on only 5 machines. Such as the Original Equipment Manufacturing in Motherboard, Harddisk, Memory, VGA and windows installer or Full Product Package.

To conclude, access, command line and license are the differences between Linux and windows. Having access to the source code is probably the single most significant differences in Linux and Windows. People who master computer tend to choose Linux as Operating system because they feel challenged by using. But why windows have domination than Linux? The question is windows have many features in application and the enterprises , can cure the problems faster than Linux with the original software. Even though have different operating systems, but they have same purpose and reason to made it. I think, why we must choose only one, Both of them surely we can operate it if you interested with in.
